Erection is basically a hydraulic mechanism in which the arteries dilate and the veins of the penis collapse; thus more blood get in than out, resulting in a tightening and in an enlargement of the penis. Diseases such as diabetes, smoking, hypertension, etc., damage blood vessels and therefore cause erection problems. Linear shock waves are a new technology that has recently emerged and that improves blood entry into the penis.
