What is the vasectomy?

It is a surgery usually performed under local anesthesia, in which the vas deferens of both testicles, which are the channels through which the sperm reach the semen, are cut. It is a contraceptive technique because with this intervention men become sterile.

Is it safe?

It is currently one of the safest contraceptive techniques.

After this surgery, will I continue ejaculating or will I lose pleasure with sexual activity?

No. With vasectomy you will still ejaculate a normal semen volume and the pleasure you get with sexual activity will not be reduced.

If I change my mind, is there a solution?

Patients should ask for the vasectomy as a final contraceptive method, that is, they want no more children in the future. In any case, if a patient regrets it, there are solutions to recover fertility.
